Mahesh, Nina's Father, early 40's, Indian man was the first to immigrate to Canada from his family. Nina's father experienced extreme racism and discrimination moving to Canada in the early 1970's. He was beaten by his father since he was a young boy. He watched his father beat his mother. This upbringing and the harsh treatment, and the suppression of his pain led to deep anger and rage. Men from his culture and time were expected to be "strong" and vulnerability was a sign of weakness. His anger was taken out on his wife and he carried out the cycles of violence. 

Please note this character will be required to play intense scenes portraying beating and physically abusing a woman.
